NASA (Exoplanet Catalog artwork)TWA 7 b
The lightest planet ever directly imaged, sitting in a gap in a dusty ring
Overview
CE Antliae is a young low-mass star in the constellation of Antlia. It is surrounded by a debris disk and has one directly imaged planet candidate.

NASA: TWA 7 b is a gas giant exoplanet that orbits a M-type star. Its mass is 0.34 Jupiters, it takes 553.2 years to complete one orbit of its star, and is 52 AU from its star. Its discovery was announced in 2025.
Why it matters
- JWST spotted it in 2025 right where a gap in TWA 7's debris disk predicted a planet.
- Only about a third of Jupiter's mass — comparable to Saturn.
- Orbits a young red dwarf about 34 light-years away.
