Why it matters
- Detected in radio by the VLA in 2018, about 20 light-years away.
- At around 12.7 Jupiter masses it sits right on the boundary between planet and brown dwarf.
- Its auroral radio emission offered a new way to find and probe planetary magnetic fields.
Discovery & system
- No catalogue record for this object (expected for retracted, hypothetical or free-floating worlds).
The system
No orbital data for this object, so there is nothing to draw yet.
By the numbers
